Date: Tuesday 20th July 2010
Time: Meeting room doors open for members at 7:50pm (7:30 for people with auction lots) for an 8pm sharp start
Place: The Harmonie German Club - 49 Jerrabomberra Avenue, Narrabundah

Last Meeting:
Last month our very own VP stepped up to talk to us about the bottom dwelling, snail eating clowns of the aquarium industry, Clown loaches.

What’s On:
This month is TBA

And all the wonderful, usual stuff:

Library
Please return any books you have borrowed, so others may use it. If you have any enquires or suggestions please see the Librarian. We have a few new books this and our trusty librarian will run through them at the meeting.

Members only Trade Table
A committee member will be only too willing to assist you with the purchase of all your dry goods needs.

Mini Auction
Both Members & Visitors are all eligible to bid on lots. Please remember a fast auction is a good auction so if we can please keep the noise down.
Also, there is a change in the check in process for those bringing auction lots, the doors will open 7:30pm. This is to assist me (or whomever does it) with the data entry of auction lots into the auction spreadsheet. If at all possible could you please fill in your auction lots and number your bags before you get there to speed the process up so I may be able to keep up with what is happening. The forms are available on the website.

Mini Raffle
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase from the trade table before the meeting and during the break. We will have our usual range of dry and new electrical goods and maybe some fish as well

Breeders Award
Please hand in any breeder’s forms you have completed to get those all important points to get you closer to getting some of club sourced species.

Species Conservation Project
Thus far the endlers and celestial danios have been very successful and a heap of fish have been added to the list. For a full listing go to the web site and check it out

I am the custodian of a breeding colony of Metriaclima livingstonii in my tanks waiting for someone with suitable cichlid experience (and breeder’s points) to have a go at breeding them. We are also looking to get hold of the red finned mccullochi and Honey blue eyes.

The list has become quite large so now are looking to add things in a more dynamic\opportunistic fashion.  This mean if something uncommon and rare comes onto the wholesaler’s lists the committee may just decide to add them.  Still feel free to come and see one of the committee members at the break and we will see what we can do.

Sponsorship

Thanks to Ben from AoA again who has stepped up sponsored us for yet another year with a very generous donation.  Without our sponsors the club would fold.  So please support them where you can.  A full list of the sponsors can be found on the website and the forum.  If you know of anyone who would like to sponsor us (or you do yourself) please contact one the committee at a meeting or via the club email clubmail@cdas.org.au and a committee member will contact you ASAP.
