CDAS MONTHLY NOTICE – 21st July, 2009
Monthly Meeting
Date: Tuesday 21st July 2009
Time: Meeting room doors open for members at 7:50pm for an 8pm sharp start
Place: The Harmonie German Club - 49 Jerrabomberra Avenue, Narrabundah
last month I spoke about keeping tropheus and I hope at the end of the talk you got the idea that if could keep them everyone can . This month Harry is going to speak you about some of his diving experiences. Harry has dived in tropical and colder waters, takes great photos and gives great talks so it is well worth coming
The normal auction and raffle will take place again this month, so if you have excess healthy fish or a surplus of plants here is your opportunity to pass them on to other enthusiasts.
We are also currently selling tickets for mega raffle. Thanks to all those who have bought tickets we have sold heaps now, SO IT WILL BE DRAWN THIS MONTH. The major prize will be a choice of canister filter (Donated by AoA) or fluid bed filter (kindly donated by Redtree) along with a pool of prizes . The tickets will be $2 each and we will run it over a couple months until we sell enough tickets.Remember that you don't have to there to win the major prize but you do for the minors.
I would like to iterate that if you have any suggestions about what you would like to see the club do, how you would like to see the meetings structured etc, or even fish to be added to the conservation list, PLEASE approach one of the committee members and tell us. There are only 5 of us running the show so if you don't tell us what you want then we have to decide for you.
So with all these benefits for members, why wouldnt you want to be a member? So we can still offer member services like the trade table, library books purchases, magazine subscriptions and conservation program, please renew your membership or try to encourage your friends to join.
