Last month was the CDAS Christmas Party. We had our very firs Major Raffle and Auction sponsored heavily by the Club, as a way of thanking all members of CDAS and provides another reason to become and stay a financial member of CDAS.
This month we have a quick Extraordinary General Meeting to bring the constitution up to date and following that, MJay is doing a talk on how to setup a CO2 injected planted tank for the best results. This should be a great talk as I personally have seen the results of CO2 tanks both good an bad so I am looking forward to it.
For the usual stuff:
Library
Please return any books you have borrowed so others may use it. If you have any enquires or suggestions please see the Librarian.
Trade Table
A committee member will be only too willing to assist you with the purchase of all your dry goods needs.
Mini Auction
Don't forget that you can bring stuff to put through the auction. it's a perfect time to sell the over stock of fish or plants. Do a pre-Christmas Tank clean-out! :) Both Members & Visitors are all eligible to bid on lots. Please remember a fast auction is a good auction so if we can please keep the noise down.
Just remember the auction rules and all will be fine.
Mini Raffle
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase from the trade table before the meeting and during the mid-break. We will have our usual range of dry and new electrical goods and maybe some fish as well
Breeders Award
Please hand in any breeder’s forms you have completed. Providing I get the trophy to the engraver, this year’s breeder’s award and certificates will be handed out this month.
Species Conservation Project
Please offer any suggestions for species to be included in the conservation program. We currently have endler guppies and Celestial Danio’s pairs with members and breeding very successfully. So well done Jesse (the Endlers), Rene and Serkan (the Celestial Danio’s). It is got to see the vision come to life.

· Junior\concession $10,

· Family $30.
Membership fees help towards the purchase of library books, supplies for the trade table, and fish for the conservation program. Please come and see me or another committee member and we can sign you up.
Food and Beverage
An array of food and beverages is available to purchase from The Harmonie German Club.
Other Notes
While last month there was a more casual event, it was noted that a couple of members, or there guests, had indulged in too much Christmas cheer. This WILL NOT be tolerated in future and the offending person will be asked to leave. The club is for the members not for the individuals.
The committee has the right to eject or not allow any person who is heavily under the influence and makes it uncomfortable for any other member. Any unsavory behaviour will be dealt with and the person (if a member) may lose their membership. Feel free to have a drink or two but please consider that we are a family club and to think of others.
Also there has been an steady increase in noise level which is making it hard to auction goods off and for the presenter to talk. If you feel the need to have a chat please wait until the break or leave the room as a curtsy.
